The UPM 2019 Occupational Safety and Health Week was held from April 13 to April 19, 2019. The event started with JKKP-PTJ Bowling Inter Department Championship on April 13, 2019. The next event was PKP DIMEX 3.0 Simulator which was held on April 16, 2019. UHC was involved as a medical emergency response team whereby two (2) ambulances was rushed to the site of the incident to provide assistance.

DIMEX 3.0 Simulation is an emergency exercise for the Continuity Management Services Plan, Emergency Response Plan, Communication Crisis Plan and Disaster Recovery Plan. The scenario started with fire simulation and explosion in Infocomm Development Centre (iDEC) Beta Data Center UPM and Emergency Action Plan was immediately activated. Seven victims were involved, including 2 victims found to be fainted, 1 victim each with head injury, leg fracture, hand fracture, leg sprain and laceration wound in the calf. Two victims who were fainted was rushed to Serdang Hospital while the rest were treated at PKU. Congratulations to PKU emergency response team headed by Dr. Suhaila Abd Hamid, assisted by Assistant Medical Officer En. Wan Mohd Halin Wan Mohamed and other paramedic staff.

Pusat Kesihatan Universiti (PKU), UPM has also won the Workplace Safety Award 2019 (Category C). The award ceremony was held on 19th April 2019. The certificate was awarded by Dato Registrar, Dato' Wan Azman Wan Omar to the Head of PKU, Dr. Fauziah Adnan. Well done to all PKU staff!! May PKU maintained this excellent achievement and always be a safe place to work in order to generate a healthy and productive staff.
