Serdang, 16 June 2026 – The MQUIT Clinic of the University Health Centre (PKU), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) took part in the Strategic Exhibition held in conjunction with Putra Synergy Month 2026 at the Grand Hall, Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Cultural and Arts Centre (PKKSSAAS), UPM.

The exhibition aimed to raise awareness among the campus community on the importance of quitting smoking and to introduce the free cessation services available at PKU. Visitors received health education, counselling, and individual advice on nicotine dependence, alongside information on the harmful effects of tobacco and electronic cigarettes, benefits of quitting, and treatment options.

Led by Dr. Nor Shafikah Diana Iskandar, PPP Muhammad Elya Saffuan Mohd Zahari, and PPK Nor Hafizah Ab. Rahman, the clinic team engaged actively with participants, offering assessments and guidance to support their quit-smoking journey.

The initiative also strengthened collaboration between PKU and the university community in building a healthier, smoke-free campus. The response was highly encouraging, with many expressing interest in joining the cessation program.

PKU UPM remains committed to expanding the services of the MQUIT Clinic through health promotion, screenings, and interventions, supporting the Healthy Campus agenda and fostering a community that values well-being and quality of life.
