Serdang, 5 May 2026 – The University Health Centre (PKU), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), participated in the Smart Nursing Seminar 2026, which was held from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. at the Auditorium of Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.
The seminar aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge regarding the application of technology in the nursing profession while reinforcing humanitarian values and ethical practices in patient care. In addition, the seminar provided exposure to the latest developments in healthcare, including the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare services, to ensure that nursing practices remain relevant and aligned with current advancements. Participation in the seminar was open to healthcare personnel, students, and individuals interested in the field. Participants also received certificates of participation, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points, and opportunities to participate in lucky draw activities.
A total of five (5) staff members from the University Health Centre, UPM, attended the seminar. The participants consisted of two (2) Nursing Supervisors, two (2) Head Nurses, and one (1) Staff Nurse.
The seminar sessions were conducted by a panel of speakers comprising experts in the fields of nursing and digital healthcare. The seminar was organised by Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre (PPUKM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.
The organisation of the Smart Nursing Seminar 2026 by Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre (PPUKM), successfully provided valuable exposure and professional development opportunities for healthcare practitioners, particularly in strengthening digital competencies and improving the quality of nursing care services in line with current healthcare advancements.
