
Serdang, 23 September 2024 – The Dental Health Division of the Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Health Centre hosted a benchmarking visit from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) Health Centre, Bangi. The delegation consisted of seven staff members led by Dr. Hamiza Hamidon, Head of the Dental Unit at UKM Health Centre.
The visitors were warmly welcomed by Dr. Ahmad Kamarul Juperi, Head of the Dental Health Division at UPM Health Centre, along with Dental Therapist Nalitha Hazirah Norman and DSA Mohd Rosli.
The visit aimed to exchange insights on dental treatments, fee structures, and patient management systems implemented at UPM Health Centre, while also fostering stronger relationships among staff from public university health centres.
The program began with a briefing by Dr. Ahmad Kamarul on patient management at the Dental Health Division, followed by a presentation and Q&A session. The delegation was then given a tour of the dental treatment rooms, the sterilization service unit (SSU), the dental supplies store, and the dental x-ray room.
The visit concluded at 1:00 PM with the presentation of a token of appreciation from UPM Health Centre to UKM Health Centre.
This productive meeting facilitated valuable knowledge-sharing and is expected to contribute positively to improving dental service quality and strengthening collaboration between public university health centres.
