Seri Kembangan, 23 May 2025 – The Dental Health Division of the University Health Centre (PKU), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), participated in the *Jiwa Putra@KTMB: Sang Sihat* community service program as a strategic partner, delivering health education to the residents of the BRDB Rotary Children’s Residence.

The program, which benefited 73 residents of the welfare home, aimed to raise awareness about physical and mental health among children while fostering values ​​of volunteerism, empathy, and social responsibility among UPM students. Eleven officers and staff members from the Dental Health Division of the UPM University Health Centre (PKU UPM) were involved in managing a dental health education booth and conducting oral health promotion activities throughout the event. A key highlight was a talk on children's dental care delivered by Dr. Aisyah Mat Ariff, emphasizing the importance of oral hygiene practices, effective tooth-brushing techniques, healthy eating, and dental disease prevention. To reinforce health messages, various interactive educational activities were conducted, including tooth-brushing demonstrations using dental models, oral health games, activities to identify tooth-friendly food choices, and dental care quizzes. This fun and interactive learning approach successfully engaged the participants and improved their understanding of the importance of oral health care from a young age. The Dental Health Division's participation in this program reflects PKU UPM’s ongoing commitment to strengthening dental health education and promotion within the community, particularly among children. The program also demonstrates how collaboration between educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and community organizations can positively impact community development and well-being. The UPM University Health Centre extends its appreciation to the organizers for the invitation and the trust placed in the Dental Health Division to help make this high-impact program a success, aligning with UPM’s aspiration to cultivate the *Jiwa Putra* spirit through the empowerment of community health and well-being.
