UPM Serdang - 15 September, a Read@Uni Reading Corner Evaluation Session, took place from 9am to 9.30am at the University Health Center (PKU). The judging session led by the staffs from Sultan Abdul Samad Library (PSAS) is one of the components of the 14 categories contested for the Service Quality and Innovation Day Award (HKIP) & UPM Administrative Management Star Rating 2022.

The Read@Uni Reading Corner Award was first introduced in 2019 as the UPM Read@Uni Reading Corner Competition Prize. It was later known as the Read@Uni UPM Reading Corner Award from 2022 onwards with 5 winners from each categories; offering a prize of RM1000 per winner.

Chairman of the PKU Read@Uni Committee, Dr Rusydi Nawawi has explained on the ideas of the reading corner to PSAS representatives; Miss Nazibah Kamaruddin and Mr Khairul Anwar Zulkifli. The presentation is delivered based on the evaluation criteria which are from the aspects of Creativity and Innovation, Activity, Promotion, Implementation Impact of the event and the location selection. 

A massive support from the PKU Management and all the committee members has had a positive impact on the group's progress & activities. This is to ensure that the Read@Uni PKU Reading Corner will be able to benefit the staff and clients and along the way, develop an interest towards reading culture among the PKU customers and staffs.
