Bukit Jalil, 30 July 2025 – A courtesy visit by the delegation from the University Health Centre (PKU), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), was held at the National Sports Institute (ISN), Bukit Jalil.

The visit aimed to provide exposure to the systems and treatment approaches implemented in sports medicine management at ISN. It also served as a platform for exchanging ideas and sharing experiences related to athlete rehabilitation, particularly in the aspect of Return to Sport (RTS). The delegation was also briefed on more effective rehabilitation programmes, especially concerning sports injuries and athletic functional recovery. Among the facilities visited were the Sports Medicine Division, Sports Rehabilitation Division, Physiotherapy Division, Sports Psychology Lab, Sports Nutrition Lab, and Sports Science Division.

The delegation was led by Dr. Arma binti Noor, Director of the University Health Centre, UPM, and comprised medical officers and several health support personnel from various units within PKU UPM, including:

• Dr. Siti Noor Azlidah binti Ali – Head of Sports Medicine Division

• Mr. Nazari bin Ismail – Head of Sports Medicine Section

• Ms. Amera binti Yahaya, Ms. Nurin Jazlina binti Abd Kadir, Mr. Muhammad Syafiq bin Hassan – Medical Rehabilitation Officers

• Mr. Muhammad Ulil Amri (Assistant Medical Officer),
  Ms. Filina Fauzian (Staff Nurse) – Emergency Unit Representatives

• Mr. Muhammad Arman bin Md Razali – Health Care Assistant (PPK)

This visit reflects PKU UPM’s commitment to strengthening strategic institutional collaborations, in line with efforts to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of medical and sports health services.

A bilateral discussion session was also held to explore potential collaborations and build professional networks that can support the development of sports health at both institutional and national levels.

PKU UPM extends its deepest appreciation to ISN for the warm welcome and willingness to collaborate in advancing the field of medical and sports health in the country.
