DIAGNOSTIC DIVISION

The Medical Diagnostic Division headed by Pn.Fairus bt Mohamad is divided into 2 units, namely Clinical Laboratory Unit and Radiological Unit. This department provides clinical diagnostic lab services and medical imaging services in line with the UHC primary medical service needs.

DIAGNOSTIC CLINICAL LABORATORY SERVICES

Laboratory investigations available include:

A) BIOCHEMICAL TESTS

Lipid profile (Fasting)*
Liver Function Test
Renal Profile
Glucose (Random & Fasting*)
Electrolyte
HbA1c

B) HAEMATOLOGY TESTS

Full Blood Count

C) URINE

Urine Microalbumin
Urine Screening
Urine Microscopic
Urine Drugs
Urine Pregnancy Test

D) RAPID TEST

Rheumatoid Factor
Malaria
H. Phylori
VDRL (syphilis)
HIV screening
TB screening
Blood grouping
Dengue Antibody
G6PD screening**
Bleeding Time/Clotting Time

*TESTS THAT REQUIRE 8 HOURS OF FASTING PRIOR TO SAMPLING

**G6PD SCREENING (Must be performed at least one week before commencement of anti malarial drugs.)

Amongst basic X-Ray services provided are:

• Chest X-Ray

• PNS X-Ray
• KUB X-Ray
• Abdominal X-Ray
• Limbs X-Ray
