25 MEI 2022, UPM SERDANG – University Health Centre of UPM has organized a Healthy Movement Programme for staff under the Registrar’s Office. This programme was held in response to the Vice Chancellor’s 9 th Aspiration which is to Intensify Initiatives Campus Welfare.
The programme was held in Sultan Salahuddin Aziz Shah Center for Culture and Arts (PKKSSAAS) from 3pm to 5pm and was attended by 45 people from various Registrar’s Office entities including University Health Centre, Security Division, Islamic Center and PKKSSAAS. The event was enlivened by the presence of Dr. Fauziah Adnan, Head of University Health Center and Mr. Zuhaimi Abdul Rahim, Director of Islamic Center of UPM.
Interestingly, the programme does not only focus on physical health alone but also spiritual health activities are highlighted. Participants not only have the opportunity to check their blood pressure and weight but also they have the opportunity to check the accuracy of their recitation of Al-Fatihah, a very important element in achieving perfect prayer.
In order to promote a healthy lifestyle, the programme also organized an aerobic Fit by Beat. This aerobic exercise helps its participants to burn calories, improve blood circulation and personal fitness. The programme ended with lucky draws and presentation of its prizes.
